Royal Dragon Infinity Reels – A lovely Asian themed Infinity reels slot

The Infinity Reels concept is becoming more and more popular, and rightfully so. The idea is fantastic and offers so much potential and variety.

ReelPlay has already granted other providers like Relax Gaming (Emerald’s Infinity Reels), Boomerang and Game Lab to release an Infinity Reels slot. Royal Dragon is already the 7^th ReelPlay Infinity reels slot.

Royal Dragon Infinity Reels is very similar to Giza Infinity Reels, and for me, that’s why I cannot give full marks for this slot. I prefer Thor Infinity Reels or Tiki Infinity Reels Megaways.

Royal Dragon Infinity Reels is the first Infinity Reels slot with an Asian theme. The win potential is pretty modest, though, and the max win is just over 5,000x.

Gameplay and Features

Royal Dragon Infinity Reels starts with 3 reels with 4 symbols and relies on the Infinity Reels feature.

The idea is dead simple: after each win, you gain a free re-spin, and at the same time, you get an additional reel on the right. Besides, you get an increased win multiplier (goes up by +1).

If, for example, you win three consecutive times, you end up with 6 reels and with a win multiplier of x4.

The typical Chinese symbols are the high paying symbols, where we have a Golden Raptor, a Golden Lion, a Koi Fish, a Frog, a Red Lantern and a Flower. The lows are the Spades, Hearts, Diamonds and Clubs.

The WILD DRAGONS are the Wild symbols, and the ANY GONG symbols the Scatters.

How does ReelPlay’s payout table work?

You need to have at least five identical symbols (ReelPlay calls these the Symbol pays).

Take, for example, the Golden Lion. It has a value of 5. If you land 8 of them, you win 40 coins. Divide this amount by 30, and the win is 1.33x. Similarly, 12 Lions (worth 60 coins) is good for a 2x win.

These wins aren’t massive, but the good news is that the win multiplier increases by +1 after each re-spin (and reel addition).

If you land the 12 Lions after five-reel expansions, it gets you a win multiplier of x6 and, therefore, a 12x win (2x multiplied by 6=12x).

There is even better news!

If you manage to get 12 or more reel expansions (so you’ll need to have at least 15 reels), the win multiplier expands to a blistering 200x.

How do you get the free spins?

Five ANY GONG Scatters gets you 7 free spins. Any additional Scatter yields an extra free spin.

Alternatively, you make use of ReelPlay’s Buy a Bonus Feature. It costs 66.67x the original bet.

The free spins – the multiplier increments can go up to +5

The main advantage is that the win multiplier is sticky (does not reset) after a loss. Besides, the increments can be as high as +5.

If you manage to win several consecutive times and get successive reel expansions, it can go very rapidly. Don’t be surprised to see a win multiplier of say 30x or even 50x. And in the best case, indeed a fantastic 200x!

The free spins – the Gamble feature

At the end of the free spins, you can increase your win with the Gamble feature.

The RTP of Royal Dragon Infinity Reels is 95.85% which is a bit low. At least for Bonus Buy Feature lovers, the good news is that the RTP is much higher in that case: 96.87%.

Royal Dragon Infinity Reels has a medium variance, and the max win is just over 5.000x.

I expect the top wins to be around 1000x. The “infinity multiplier” is 200x, whereas it’s 888x in the other ReelPlay Infinity reels slots. Clearly, this slot is not as volatile.
