Diamond Vortex – Gameplay and Features

The playing field is 6-sided (hexagonal) and is 4+5+6+7+6+5+4 large: in total 37 symbols. It reminds us of Honey Rush.

However, in Diamond Vortex, it’s better to think in rings. You have three rings and a (symbol) position in the middle.

• The inner ring has 6 symbols
• The middle ring has 12 symbols
• The outer ring has 18 symbols

You also have so-called Zones and Spots.

• There are 4 Zones: these are spaces (1 for each ring and also the middle symbol) with a border. Zones don’t move and are on top of the ring (at the 12 o’clock position).
• There are 3 Spots: these are spaces (1 for each ring) that are shaded, and that move around.

The premium symbols are four large gems (pink, green, turquoise and gold-yellow), and the pink-red coloured one is the most lucrative. It pays 100x for a cluster of 35+ symbols.

The low-paying symbols are four small gems. It’s confusing that these have the same colours, but you’ll see that these gems are much smaller.

There are two types of Wilds: Sticky Wilds and a Core Wild (I’ll explain further below). There is also a Bonus Symbol, which is a sphere with futuristic colours.

Furthermore, you have to hope for as large clusters as possible (identical and adjacent symbols). A winning cluster must consist of at least six identical symbols. If you land a winning combo, you get a free respin. The winning symbols disappear and make way for new symbols.

Plenty of action with the Rotate Feature, Consume Feature and Transform feature

The main game is everything but average. There are no less than three features.

Rotate Feature: With each respin, the three rings rotate. The outer and inner rings each rotate one step clockwise. The middle ring rotates one step counterclockwise.

Consume Feature: you have a Sticky Wild, it can become a Core Wild and afterwards positions itself in the middle (the middle symbol). It’s also a multiplier, which starts with x1. But every time the Core Wild is part of a winning combo, the multiplier increases by +1. And that can go up to 20x.

Transform Feature: If a spot gets inside a ring, all positions of that ring get the same symbol (which is determined randomly).

How do you get the free spins?

If you manage to get a Bonus symbol in a Zone, you get 5 free spins. Ideally, you get 20 spins, but that chance is minimal.
